New York House
Detailing an appropriate vision and effect for this area of the Project required a dramatic focus on the Client’s rare antiquity collection of Asian art. One of a pair of monumental Khmer grey sandstone Guardian heads, 12th C. is flanked by English Porter chairs, quite unique in their design and execution. They further elaborate the grandeur scale of the sculpture and speak to designer’s vocabulary, successfully merging diverse elements. A view enfilade thru to the grand entrance hall continues the essay of a brilliant collection in a warm and embracing manner accented with exceptional antique carpets.
