Biedermeier juxtaposed with Modernism in Contemporary Interior Design

Vignette 03I feel a distinct need for a dichotomy in attitude when my clients ask me  to strictly adhere to  furnishings of one specific period or era . Bringing unique elements of interior design  to the forefront is always heightened when an extreme is positioned to excite and intrigue the eye. Breaking the monotony of  one visual design style, for example an entire scheme of  stark Modernism,  by introducing an unexpected choice of elements, such  as the simplicity and elegance of the Swedish Biedermeier period  can bring the wow factor into play immediately. These are the contrasts that make the difference  and secure the success  of  any project
